EXTRA: Derek Gehl To Retire From IMC

Some surprising news just came across my desk. Derek Gehl the CEO of the world renown Internet Marketing Center has just announced that he plans to retire from his position next Friday.

As you may know, I've been an ardent supporter of IMC for over 10 years. It was one of the first legitimate Internet companies to offer quality training and software developed specifically for online businesses. Under the brilliant leadership of the late Corey Rudl IMC vaulted from a small home based business started with $25 to a multimillion dollar corporation. After Corey's untimely death in a racing accident in 2005, Corey's hand picked successor Derek Gehl took the helm of IMC. Derek has done an admirable job of carrying on Corey's legacy and has kept IMC on a steady course to becoming a 50 million dollar company.

It appears that Derek wants to return to the front lines of Internet Marketing and perhaps develop his own legacy. Before he goes however he's planning the rollout of the biggest change in IMC's flagship Insider's Secrets to Marketing On The Internet course since it's creation nearly 15 years ago. I wish Derek well and hope that IMC will continue to produce the quality material they have in the past. I'm sure we'll be hearing more from Derek soon.
